Education for Ministries

Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out that ministry. During the Service of Confirmation we ask God to "Renew in these your servants the covenant you made with them at Baptism. Send them forth in the power of the Spirit to perform the service you set before them." EfM offers an opportunity to discover how to respond to the call to Christian service.

St. David's Episcopal church of Lansing is an active participant offering EFM training  through the instruction of Barb Van Dyke. This four year study (with committment for one year at a time) tells the story of the people of God beginning with the Old Testament. The second year brings us into The New Testament where study is about the people of God who accept Jesus as their Lord.  Third year is a study of Christian history and year four is the study of contemporary theology. EFM puts many questions together as we learn about the people of God in the group setting.

For more information please use the St. David's contact form located here and include EFM in the subject matter.

Now that my second year is drawing to a close, I can't believe how quickly the time has escaped me.
